Asian
Indian
Hispanic

Racism should not be tolerated however it does not seem to be an issue on this board. I see more day to day attacks on black people and rappers here than I do on any other race. It's funny though because as soon as one person starts a racist thread, all of the closet racists quickly chime in with their comments. I honestly believe that at least 60% of the people here are racist against black people.

As far as i'm concerned we're all equal. Unfortunately everyone does not feel the same way as I run into racist people all the time. The best ones are the people who think it's cool to make racist jokes to my face because they think it's funny. The shit is not funny but if i haul off and punch you in the face then i'm an angry violent black man. A prime example of that are the young French people. They've been rioting like crazy and no one talks shit about them and posts a bunch of derogetory pictures about the french people. However if black people in L.A. were to riot we would all be voilent "niggurs" fucking up everything again. It's a double standard because if we stand up for what we believe in we're violent and out of control.

Honestly i dont think the racism will ever end. It sucks but it's the truth. There will always be someone out there who has a problem with black people simply because of the color of our skin or because of a fe bad seeds

My thoughts - obviously the original thread referenced was done for pumping and thats it - but that said Im amazed at how many people think racism (at least the ability for someone to speak their mind freely and if they happen to hate something, speak freely about that) is something that ought to be hushed up and not ever be uttered as it may lead to "banning" or even worse - everyone hating that person for his utterences.

Grow up people - just because its "politically correct" to say you are anti-racist and you feel like you ought to push that "good feeling of everyone getting along" its total BS. There are places in the good ole US where racism (and I dont limit my opinions to black/white or any of the stereotypes) is so abundent that the people claiming to be anti-racist are the very ones being the racists - they just dont see it in themselves as they must be to pure to notice.

I grew up in the 50s and 60s when racism of the black/white communities was rampant - to the point that my mother, who was an outspoken civil rights reporter working for a newspaper in southern Georgia wrote inflaming articles against racism - so Ive seen my fill of burning crosses on my front lawn
I now (after journeys around the world and back) live in a small southern town where up until 3 years ago it was against town law to celebrate Independence day(the 4th of July for foreign people) as it was also the day in 1863 when this town fell to the Northern "invading" Army and the Confederacy was demolished around here.

You think that little rude comments you see posted on these board consist of racism - lemme tell you that you havent seen real racism - where certain colors of skin decide whether you have access to bathrooms in city hall, where to this day, you are not considered an equal to another color no matter what job, education or class you hold in a community.

The other side of this is that while the "practice" of racism is against the law since I believe it was around 1965, the ability to speak your feelings in public and to not only speak them, but to write them is not only protected by the Constitution, but every American should fully support the rights of any other citizen to speak as they want no matter how much you disagree - if you dont allow that, you have just taken away the first and most important freedom we all enjoy and might as well just kick back and wait for the facism that will have to replace that democracy if you will not support every citizens right to their own thoughts(hell I served in the military for 12 years defending the Constitution and every article in it)

I once saw someone say someone else on this board was a "racist" for insulting Canadians. I'm not at all sure why it's so hard for some people to understand what constitutes a "race". :D

CD being an old man I have just gotten to the point where Im so sick and tired of hearing how "offended" everyone gets these days about every little damn thing - when they have no idea of what we went through to get to the point we are at nowadays, and more importantly - claiming they are shocked (the other term Ive heard so often for offended) by stuff that was so commonplace 40 years ago and just bending over as a group to get rid of the values this country was built to promote over 200 years ago.

Of course (and heres my biggest pet peeve) not a one of them votes in elections ranging from their local dogcatcher to the president of the country - so when they come whining there offended tunes - I usually just laugh and tell them to go fuck themselves cause they arent even close to being a worthwhile person in my book
