    I Am Legend Alternate Ending

    It was big news that I Am Legend went through a series of reshoots. One of the big changes was the film's ending, which was reshot to give the film a more commercial conclusion. The special edition DVD hits store shelves on March 18th, for such a new released Blu-ray is only $19, the widescreen version for $14 on sale

    I'd be interested to hear what you guys think, so please post your thoughts. I feel that this is a much better conclusion, aside from the voiceover driving sequence which book ends the footage.

      yea.. I don't think it is that much better.. it is a bit better.. but nothing super great about it

          I didnt like the movie when i saw it in theaters.. not going to go out of my way to try to improve it.. they should reissue it in theaters for free for everyone who had to sit through the original one they put out

              I Am Legend had the potential to be one of the greatest zombie flicks ever made. Up to the point when his dog leads Will Smith down into that basement, and Smith stumbles upon the nest of sleeping zombies, I thought I was gonna shit myself.

              And then the movie turned into another piece of shit.

              When will people ever learn that less is more? Why did the each and every zombie have to have the strength of Superman? Will Smith couldn't beat one of them...let alone millions.

              How did that woman and her child beat all those ferocious zombies when they first me Smith?

              I hate that movie primarily cause it coulda been so great, and instead they turned it into a piece of shit.

              Make the zombies like Romero did in the original Night of The Living Dead and then they woulda had another great one.

              Same goes for 28 Days.

                  Seemed odd when it ended the way it did in theaters.... Seemed like it was building up to an ending like this where the leader was evolving into a social kind of guy.

                                          supposedly there is a fan cut of the ending in which will smith character commits suicide leaving a serum that "infects" the two remaining survivors (girl and the boy)
                                          the scene ends with voice over by smith and the two modified version (vampire versons) joining the rest of the of the new human race.
