HELP!!! I can't drink beer! What is wrong with me?

    HELP!!! I can't drink beer! What is wrong with me?

    Whenever I drink beer, even a single beer I get a serious case of indigestion. Almost to the point where It burns my throat. If I'm going out for the night I have to buy 3 or 4 rolls of tums or Rolaids.

    Also, I get real bloated and my stomach is in knots! I get diarrhea really bad (especially the next day). Speaking of the next day...it's pure hell! I feel draggy, depressed, and have anxiety. I can drink 2 or 3 beers and that's it for me.

    I know that I'm not allergic to alcohol because this doesn't happen with wine or hard liquor. I can drink a bottle of wine or a bottle of Bacardi and feel fine all night and fine the next day.

    Anyone else have this problem?

                                          It could be alcoholic gastritus. Excessive use of alchohol distroys the lining of the stumach causing those problems. I stopped drinking because of it. If your going to drink coat your stomach with lots of starches first it helps. beers carbonation irritates it....

                                              hmm you could be allergic to something in beer.. goto your allergy clinic and find out. could be the hops or barley.. i faintly recall someone telling me the same and saying they were allergic to glutton, not sure if its the same

                                                              quick tip that i found out the hard way, DO NOT drink beer after taking Tums, rolaids, maalox, etc. it will foam up in your stomach and make you so bloated you feel like you're going to puke.
