The fun thing about Lowlands is that it's a very diverse. Large acts, small acts. Music, theatre. There is something for almost every musical taste.

The only airport to arrive in the area is Amsterdam Airport (Schiphol). From there you take the train to Amersfoort station. In Amersfoort you switch trains and take the train to Harderwijk. At the little station of Harderwijk there are always special Lowlands/Walibi World busses waiting that'll bring you in about 30 minutes to the festival area.
The only disadvantage of the Lowlands festival is that it takes place "in the middle of nowhere". There is no city, town or village nearby, so you really have to enjoy yourself at the festival area all the time that you stay there. That probably won't be hard, but still something you should be aware of I think.

The name "Lowlands" is based on the fact that the festival takes place in a true Dutch polder and those areas of our country are always below sea level. So, that is very low land.
More info available on the website of the festival of course:

It's surely worth visiting. Have fun!
