    U.S. steps up war plans covering Iran

    What this administration will do to push Iraq on the back burner, as they did with Afghanistan...

    White House reportedly mulling military options for forcing regime change

    WASHINGTON - The U.S. administration is stepping up plans for a possible air strike on Iran, despite publicly pushing for a diplomatic solution to a dispute over its nuclear ambitions, according to a report by influential investigative journalist Seymour Hersh.

    Hersh?s story in the April 17 issue of the New Yorker magazine quotes former and current intelligence and defense officials as saying the administration increasingly sees ?regime change? in Tehran as the ultimate goal.

    ?This White House believes that the only way to solve the problem is to change the power structure in Iran, and that means war,? Hersh quotes an unidentified senior Pentagon adviser on the war on terror as saying.

    The report says the administration has stepped up clandestine activities in Iran and has initiated a series of talks on its plans with ?a few key senators and members of Congress.?

    A former senior defense official is cited as saying the military believed a sustained bombing campaign against Iran would humiliate the leadership and lead the Iranian public to overthrow it, adding that he was shocked to hear the strategy.

      "Clandestine activities"?? That's one way of wording it - other words are espionage and terrorist activity. There's a penalty for that.

      Rest assured the build up to Iran will have a direct relationship to Bush's desperation to retain credibility and destined to totally fuck the US up before he departs - or is evicted.

      100% correct on regime change and some concentration on domestic issues within the US than fucking in other people's business in countries many miles from US jurisdiction.

                          Unfortunately, the truth is that although Iran may not be a threat today, they will be eventually. I would rather see the US go to war now than wait until Iran is nuclear capable. Iran would have no problem detonating a nuclear device on its on soil as long as it killed a lot of "the enemy"

They have cut out religion and superstitous nonsense and are focusing on science hard and fast. They'll be on the moon and more within 10 years.

They're building so fast they use about a third if not more of all the concrete in the world.

                                                                                                                                                                  I have lots of friends and family in and around China. One pal who is making a fortune in trade there said and I quote:

                                                                                                                                                                  The only threat China poses is to the drug trade. They will never forget when the British dumped all that opium on their asses 200 years ago. To the Chinese they don't think in short terms. They think in millenia. They're planning what to call their great grandchildren in the year 3,000 while we're still trying to figure out if Chelsea and Brittany are going to be cool names to call our daughters next year.

The time to have ended any threat in Iran was over 25 years ago. We funded Saddam and gave him crazy weapons to do this but he, like Hitler and Mussolini and every other puppet we funded got a big head and turned on us.

                                                                                                                                                                      We will go to war in Iraq exactly five fucking minutes after some miraclous act in which a Bush close associate rats his ass out or Cheney's ass out for something.
