if you have friends or colleagues you network with who check your links on a social bookmarking site, then maybe you could gain some exposure there with distantly connected people; but otherwise, it's probably just as much of a crapshoot as creating a myspace page and putting links to your sites on there, and then trying to have people add you in. Those sites are great at finding and promoting connections between things, like URLs in this case, but many URLs could lose the affiliate-specific components when filtered by the social sites.
