I think you're taking it all wrong. I don't think they are in any way trying to state that Bush had anything to do with knocking down the towers. Why would they go out of their way to discredit all the legitimate statements they make with one crazy one? It's just a statement to grab the listeners attention. They're using it the same way a good headline pulls a reader into reading an article. By screaming out "Bush Knocked Down The Towers" over and over, they are bringing people who may not have cared to listen to their message into listening to it. Which I think is a good thing, because they made plenty of legitimate points throughout the song. Especially the point where they discuss what would you do if some group invaded and occupied your neighborhood?

Like I said early, I'm not a big rap fan, but I can respect what Mos does, because as you have said, he comes across as a very intelligent man with the message and words he sends out. You've gotta give a man props for doing what he does. Especially when he gone on to be not only successful in music, but also movies. A lot of rappers have tried to make the transition, but Mos does it well.
