I´ll start (and I´m American); the average American I see while travelling are usually a loud mouth, totally ignorant bafoons. Their whole outlook on things are so ignorant it´s almost funny.
When chatting with yanks online, I tell them about things where I am, or in other parts of the world and they all seem to have the same ignorant retorts and viewpoints...
Me: Dubai is pretty nice, some grea hotels on the water there.
USAGuy: And a bunch of raghead terrorists, fuck that I wouldn´t ever go there.
Me: Thai chicks are hot, and generally nice to foreigners
USAGuy: I don´t like commie nips.
Me: huh?
Those are just vague examples, but I find myself surrounded by ignorance so much it kills me inside. I want to reach through the monitor and jam a bamboo stick with the words ´CHINKS ARE CHINESE, NIPS ARE JAPANESE, IM IN THAILAND!´
So if you´re one of those Americans who has never left N.America, or has, and still maintains an American isolationist attitude, don´t ever talk to me, mmkay?

You've come a long way Kieth. A LONG way. Seems like only 5 or 6 short years ago you were still in the USA and giving people like me that same brand of elitist self-important 'merica or bust attitude. Nice to see you've gotten out in the world and met enough people to see things from the other side.
As for your question... hate? No, not for America or Americans in general. Most have been quite friendly in my travels and experience. There ARE those few though whose ignorance has flabbergasted me... but those are found in virtually every country. The USA, having a larger population than a lot of countries, naturally seems to have more due to sheer numbers.
It's when people start believing that they are better than others, or are some sort of superior human, simply because they were born in a certain country (something they had no say in) that really scream "I'm an ignorant idiot" the most, definitely.
Good post.
