going to japan friday, any tips on what to check out?
going to tokyo, kyoto and hiroshima, got the lonely planet guide which has never done me wrong and been checking out some sites... any tips on what to check out? some goals are to eat bizzare things, like raw horse and deer, not chicken or fowl (don't wanna be the guy who brings bird flu to the usa) and the fugu.

See the Temples in Kyoto, Toyko hit what they call The Electronic city. Kind of a shopping district. If you are into electronics you'll love it. Im there once a year at least visiting inlaws. Oh and there are gardens in Kyoto that you have to take a trolley a few miles up a mountain to see. Ill ask my wife when she wakes up the name of them if you are interested. -

We were in Tokyo last year during April. It was a great time, however we were there during their festival for part of the time. Near the end of our trip all the businesses were closed because they were on their "country vacation". Don't remember the name of it off hand. We saw alot of stuff. Mt. Fuji, Tokyo Tower, went on a drive through safari, ate just about everywhere we could, did a ton of shopping. Went to the zoo etc. Even had a japanese street artist do some portraits of my wife and I that are now hanging in our bedroom. Something to always remember the trip by.
We also went to Rappongi which is the big bar area in Tokyo and we went to the electronics district as well (cannot remember the name). That was insane. Right in the middle of it is a huge porn stor that is like 5-6 levels tall. They have everything there.
