    Just got Sprint Global broadband wireless internet...It's wonderful.

    I've only had it for a few hours and I can already tell that it's gonna be worth the 80 bucks a month for it....Nothing beats a dedicated cable line but for the convenience and never needing an internet cafe or a hotel with wireless internet while I'm travelling means that I'll get used to it. If you travel alot then it's well worth it. If you don't have this service and need it, GET IT!

    I can't wait to test this shit out when I move to Puerto Rico in a little over a week.

      I never heard of global wireless. I use Sprint. One of the reasons I use them is because I can connect my Treo to my laptop and have unlimited wireless at around 400kbs for $15 extra a month.

      Is it similar?
      I've trusted my sites to them for over a decade...

          No with this you gotta get a card that you slide into the laptop..I got it from the sprint store...It's 79 a month with global access..Most of the world is covered except for most of Africa and some shit countries in south america...They're just now running commercials for it on television and I had to look hard to find it.

              I have a friend that has that and LOVES it....he is actually thinking about dumping his home internet because his connection is so strong at home

              for someone that doesn't need to be working on the internet like me, it is probably something to consider instead of home internet...but I need the speed I have now, and it will probably be a while til sprint gets up there with the global wireless

              what speeds are you seeing from it right now?

                      I'm right at 500kbps here in Suburban Milwaukee where I'm at now...that's barely fast enough to qualify as DSL/Cable..My cable internet was over four times faster than this..I know it will probably get better when i'm closer to a backbone node.

                          yeah, that is like that DSL Lite package...but still, that ain't bad for global wireless

                          just wait til next year at this time when they do about 3-4 more upgrades...i bet it will be flying!

                                              I just got Verizon's and I love it. Even had AaronM call me on Sunday needing some information when he was stuck at the airport. I was in a parking lot in Palm Springs, and simply went to the trunk of the car, got the laptop, plugged in the card and I was there.

                                              I can't wait to buy my new bike and have it set up to safely transport my laptop. I will be set.

                                                  I was looking into it myself. I am not super impressed with the coverage area yet but it looks promising. As a sprint customer and stock holder I would love to see this take off.
