I was channel surfing last night and there was not much on except the movie 48 hours. I hadn't seen it in forever and since nothing else was on, I start watching and I notice the word "pussy" is censored.
I don't think anything of it at first, but after hearing the words fuck, fucker, motherfucker, n****r, shit and bullshit countless times, I think it's quite funny the NEXT time I notice that pussy is censored (obviously, it's not a mistake). Anyone that's seen it knows that there's a little violence in it as well. None of it censored. Neither was the topless nudity.
Thinking that maybe watching it at 2am is too early to hear the word pussy on television, I flick over to another channel an hour later JUST to see and sure enough it's identical censoring.
Out of curiosity I called the station to see if it as a mistake or who made the rulings on what was to be censored and the lady told me, while it wasn't her, she could only assume it was because of the sexual nature of the word. But, she'll have someone get back to me with more information.
Disturbing.
