Well, Easter is pretty much the fertility holiday, right? All about fucken' and rebirth. Hence the rabbits (because rabbits fuck a lot) and eggs.

It is probably like when I used to work at a cinema in high school and has to do Christmas and Easter shifts because people still went. Some aren't Christian, some don't have family and some have spent enough of the day with relatives and need to escape.
