PART 2 of getting Healthy - The correct food

Lets all get fit and healthy!
Its been 2 weeks since I last smoked a cigarette (not counting weed)
Its time to move on to the body, I just finished my easter egg.

I am going to completely get rid of eating crap foods.

Have you got any ideas for quick simple healthy recipes.

I say simple because cookbooks I get never have anything quick and simple, so let me know your secrets.

No chocolate, limited sugar (as in no candy), try and cut down on the fat/grease.

Also what are good for snacks as all people seem to sell these days as a healthy option are cereal bars which I am sure are loaded with sugar.

As a joint effort we can get healthy on gfy and enjoy life more!

How would you rate your health as /10

    Mine is 6-7 /10

    Scotty,

I used to do piles of blow, drink Stoli like it was water, and smoke pack after pack of Camels. Now I have zero craving for any of that and have more energy than ever.

Contact me on ICQ and I am happy to share what has been shared with me. I have nothing to gain other than to know I have helped another person.

Here's a recipe I came up with that tastes very fattening and thick but is very low fat. I'm guessing at the actual amounts because I usually freeball it.

      Ingredients:
1.5lb lean ground beef (or ground turkey)
1 can 98% fat free cream of mushroom soup
1 big ass scoop of fat free sour cream
      1 medium onion, diced
1/8 cup green olives, rinsed and finely chopped
      Curry powder to taste
      Cayenne pepper to taste
      Some fuckin' garlic
      Cilantro

      Cookin':
Brown the beef lightly and set aside and drain off what fat you can
Add the onions to the pan and get them sizzlin', when they're getting good add some curry powder till it smells good and some cayenne if you like it hot.
Toss in some garlic and don't over cook it.
Add the cream of mushroom soup and a little bit of water sloshed around in the can to get it all out.
Now put in the olives, let it all get hot, stirring it up a bit.
Finally add the sour cream and don't let it boil, just hot.
Garnish with cilantro and serve over some rice of your choice.

You'll notice there's no salt, it'll get saltiness from the green olives and if you have to add salt you don't have to add much.
I sometimes like to make this with some habanero peppers to make it ridiculous. What's good about this recipe is that it really fills you up, but it doesn't have much fat in it at all.

kick off your metabolism first thing in the morning (30 mins after you wake up) by eating a bowl of oatmeal (not from the packs, but rolled or steel cut oats), sweetened with honey (raw, unheated, unfiltered), and a large glass of water

invest in a small propane bbq (now that the weathers about to warm up!) and start having LEAN meat - skinless/boneless chicken & turkey breasts; buffalo steaks, turkey burgers (from ground breast meat) and LOTS of asparagus with your meals

the more processed & removed from nature your food is, the less nutritious your food will be

try to stay away from high sugar fruits such as grapes, strawberries, etc...eat lots of salad (spring mix greens or spinach greens, no romaine lettuce!) with sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, mushrooms and other great garden vegatables...use a vinagrette dressing

eat lots of green vegatables (broccoli, spinach, asparagus)

eat apples in the evenings as your snacks

snack on seeds (walnuts, sunflower seeds, cashews, and almonds) when you're craving a snack

and if you MUST eat a cereal bar/power bar quick snack, i would highly recommend these: http://perfectfoodsbar.com/fruitNut-bar.html

lastly, try to eat organic when possible....eat free-range, vegetarian fed, non-antibiotic-injected chicken & turkey whenever possible

I guess you will not be wanting the recipe I used for panna cotta last night!

It was very good though but with 2 cups of heavy cream, 1.25 cups of whole milk yogurt and 0.5 cups of sugar it isn't going to fit into a low fat/low sugar diet plan.

I just eat less then I used to... I have lost a lot of weight because of that. And I try to eat more apples and oranges when I am hungry!

pretty much on the right track.

add 30mins daily exercise and you should be good to go, limit the beef.

If you were to feed a pride of wild lions cooked food every day they would die off very very fast. Heat=destructive=non condusive to nutrition=cancer, faster aging, etc etc
Plus you see all the hot girls at the private hippie markets
                          .
                          .
                          .
