Several of my friends children had colic and the only couple that solved it, did it by accident, when they broke up and moved to separate houses (the parents) the kids were "cured" overnight. Sorry I know that's not really useful to you, but at least it's pretty clear to me that those things are related to the atmosphere at home and especially how the parents are feeling.
Though I'm no doctor and never had to go through it with my kids.
