It seems that after 5 minutes, netscape always preforms illegal opperations when these pages are loaded. Anyone else experience this?

I use NS 4.75 to visit this board and haven't got any real problems so far. Of course, NS crashes from time to time, but that's typical for a browser - even Opera etc have this problem. It could also be because of an unstable windows environment.

NetScrap is junk. It'll crash on alot of stuff. I only keep a copy of ver6 on another system here for testing.
"Browser compatibility is necessary nowadays" they are always telling me.
Well personally, I give fuck all about Netjunks browser. But I test with it anyway. Get IE.... much less problems.

The browser is simply an interface. It doesn't create or spread viruses. People do. And if Netcrap didn't crash everytime I try to open more than an index page, I might actually use it once in a while. Unfortunately, all their "improvements" have only made the software worse.

I use Netscape 4.76 and have no problems with this board...no pagejackings, activex bs, etc.
I also use Netscape Mail..no email worms for me))
I use IE 6 on occasion..
I've seen a lot of sites that are not Netscape friendly, well folks, I realize Netscape is only 15 or so % of the market, but if you hate it that bad, I'll give you some code to redirect all Netscape users to my sites...I'll take 15% of your traffic and income if you don't really want it...

We prefer Netscape too. We use IE about 1/3 of the time just to view sites and then get caught surfing for some reason or another.
Netscape works very well with sites that are coded properly. Its the trash code that front page turns out that 'scape reacts badly too.

Exxxotica, SykkBoy2 and Gemini I must agree
with all of you. I have no ideal why any webmaster would use IE as there Prim. Browser they should know better.
But you do see them on this board and other's
ready to kill because they get auto book marked and other shit.
I take there output with grain of salt and read all the shit that happens to them.
I think it's funny as all get out.
Granted 99% of the surfer's don't know any better but here's people that make there $$
with a Browser and it must cost them alot of time sometimes fixing what IE let's happen.
Then you have outlook, that's another one in it's self.
No sweat off my balls if they want to keep on

Xanobyte, could I give you one of my URL's and then you can send me your 15 or so % Netscape traffic, the way
you state it you don't need that 15% or so.
There are soooooooooo many webmasters that do not bother to check there pages with netscape , and I would say
about 5% there page comes up blank with Netscape.
I check all of my pages with IE and Netscape.
I do know if it works with Netscape it most likely will work with any Browser.
This is really a no brainier to me.
Any other of you webmaster that do not want that 15% or so please let me know, I'll be very glad to take it off your hands.

You'll yowl the loudest when Outlook bombs you or your precious IE locks up and crashes your system after a few months of you not defragging and performing other system maintenance.

I must say, that a MAC user introduced me to IE, and at first it was "da bomb" (to speak in a language that these young'ins will understand)
I loved the fact that I could check all my email with the click of a button, no more changing ID's everytime. No more crashing. The Net was once again my playground.
But then, a few forced downloads here, and not defragging, really cost me a few days of trying to figure out what went wrong. Needless to say I had to reinstall my Outlook, and lose a few hundred emails.
During those few days, I lost traffic. (and for me that's a big deal)
Welcome back, Netscape.

Yeah, got my holstein painted Gateway sittin' right here with 4 years of AOL, Compuserve, Prodigy 'n all. Even came with some fuckin' killer "Multi-Media" speakers, lots-o-rams, and a 14' monitor!

We'll remember that when you have a problem with your idea of the better browser. Netscape users generally know both browsers better than IE users know IE anyhow.
