    CMS and the Billing Company question

    Hello there,

    I will be building my first adult paysite so I have been searching through here looking for answers and I have some great answers, links and advice. Thank you GFY.

    I found some content management systems that all seem great but what I don't understand is how the CMS connects and interacts with the billing company. Lets say I have the website built with the content loaded, how do I set up the site for passwords and usernames and credit cards? The CMS sites say they will install their CMS software but does that mean after that I am left hanging?

    Is there a link to a nice detailed explanation of this process?

    Anyone suggest any good CMS besides these? Also a billing solution?

    elevatedx.com <--- don't know the price of this one yet.

    Depends a lot on what you want to do .

    The CMS and billing should be completely separate issues. Depending on how things are set up, if you're using a PHP/MySQL-based CMS, you should be able to do PHP authentication, and your biller should be able to help you set that up, but it requires a little more work initially than basic HTTP authentication.

    Otherwise, you can use standard HTTP/basic (.htpasswd) authentication which any biller can establish for you.

    If you don't have a good grasp of HTML and basic server admin, you will definitely want to find someone that can serve in that role for you on a part time basis. Otherwise, when something breaks, you'll be scrambling to find someone in a rush, and that rarely translates to getting the best person at the best price

      Thank you! I think I may know just the person who can help me.

      Now, if only the CMS companies I contacted for prices and info would get back to me... ?????

            If we talk about our product - aWIZ Paysite Manager, - setup of password management is as easy as pie:
            1. prepare members area;
            2. send request to billing system to setup their password management;
            3. get it working!

            So, if you use different content for each of members areas, built on aWiZ, no actions are required in the script to bind to billings' password management.
            And at the same time, aWIZ will investigate the situation with stolen passwords and will always block them.
