No shit, I think it's ridiculous how so many people are all high and mighty in "protecting" these people's right to live. If my face were slowly rotting off and day in and day out I lived in excruciating pain knowing I was inching towards certain death, I would just shoot myself in the fucking head. I wouldn't even ask for help. But for someone who can't do that, lol, they SHOULD be able to make the choice to have an assisted death...Comment

Euthanasia is legal in the Netherlands and it should be all over the world.
My grandpa had cancer.
He was in terrible pain, and he was told it would only get worse, until it would consume him completely.
He said fuck that. I will go when I decide.
He even made jokes before the doc gave him the lethal injection.
The whole family was there. He said goodbye, told us to be good and there went. Knowing exactly what he was doing.
Fuck I hope I have some of his strength when my time comes.
The poor lady was in excruciating pain day in day out, and was going to die soon anyway. How on earth can you deny her a peaceful death? that's just wrong.

I am in constant chronic pain myself due to curving, fusing, and crushing of the lower portion of my spinal column. Those that have met me may have noticed I sit very crooked and such. Oh either way I deal with my pain yet I fully understand and would endorse someone else in a similar situation to be allowed to either take themselves out or have some assistance in doing it.
The drugs only work for so long and if you want to stay conscious and or not accidentally OD from such high doses to relieve minimal pain its really either deal with it or find a way out. Often really the only two choices are death and or medicine induced coma which is just death light on recurring billing.
Thankfully there are really a whole network of doctors and such who do such things, they are just underground and know ways to do it without any legal fuss. Just to bad that it has to be that way here in the US.
Damn religious people who constantly want to know if your cripple ass has accepted Jesus in order to help their born again ass with their faith. Because if you do not believe or worse blame god then it eats at their personal faith. Oddly these people go on and on about the glory of god and heaven, yet want you to prolong getting there. At least the Catholics just stick to the whole if you off yourself you go to hell rule. Grr sorry near rant mode.Comment
