I was racing on the highway as I was driving home last night...

I don't see anywhere that says she was racing another car. It's hard to "race" anyone on the 100 series highways if you are only going 130 km/h, as you will still be getting passed by transport trucks.
I think she is throwing the term "racing" around very loosely.
If she was doing 130 on one of the 80 km roads then that would be a different story.Comment

I think racing is when two people try to look cool and go ahead of each other for exactly that purpose.
I was driving in a relaxed mode and this guy was trying to be a show off and started "dancing" around my car with his in and outs. I wasn't really in the mood for that so I let him "win" lol. And that's when he got pulled over.Comment

That's why I said she is throwing around the term "racing" very loosely. No offense to her, but I'm guessing english is not her first language.
She also said this, which doesn't even make sense:
"yeah, now racing is limited to 150km/hr haha unless you want to lose your license and car on the spot."
She is obviously using the word "racing" in place of the word "speeding". As I said before, there is a big difference between speeding and racing. A car in front of her got pulled over for speeding. She wasn't actually racing that car.
130 km/h on a 100 series highway is in no way, shape or form RACING.Comment

You intentionally keep missing the point that she stated herself, she was IN AND OUT of traffic, RACING. Speeding is one thing, everyone speeds, to say they don't, they are lying. Cutting IN AND OUT of traffic racing someone, EVEN IF THEY ARE DOWING 130kph is still fucking idiotic and dangerous. That's why I said she is throwing around the term "racing" very loosely. No offense to her, but I'm guessing english is not her first language.

Sorry, everyone speeds, but driving like an asshole puts everyone on the road lives in danger.

You call 130km/h racing?
I normally drive about 160km/h even if it's limited to 120km/h and up to 250km/h when there is no speed limit on the German Autobahn.
Oh and for all people getting at me now and telling me that I am an idiot for racing on a public highway: no I am not one of those retards that has a safe distance from one car to the other of 5m at 220km/h. I am a very foresighted driver the Audi has good brakes.Comment

I was responding to the above post regarding racing, that's why i said racing speeds are now limited to 150.
Would somebody doing say 170 be considered racing if he was basically by himself on the highway? I think not. Racing is when two or more people compete with each other and that can be at any speedComment

Actually according to Ontario law, everything from spinning your tires, popping a wheely on your motorcycle, or even revving your engine at a stop light can be considered "street racing" now. It's up to the officer's discretion. This new law is bullshit.
That is why I am so bitter on this subject. Just another tax grab by our government.
They had plenty of fines and charges in place to handle things like this already, but they had to go and bump up the fines again to a maximum of $10,000 for petty things that would normally bring less than a $200 fine, plus they take your vehicle for a week.
If a cop tries to take my car for a week because I spun my tires, he's going to be taking me away in handcuffs. I might as well make the crime suit the punishment.Comment
