I will be at the Ad Tech also. Also DH and the crew will be their too. It will be good to catch up with all the porn guys. Should we do some thing one night ?
The W is nice but I'm willing to bet dollars to doughnuts it's sold out already.
If that is the case I would suggest The Pan Pacific. It's nicer than the Clift IMHO. The only good thing about the Clift is it's bar. But the Pan Pacific allows you to do something that's much more pimp. Let's say you have been out partying, well after you want to grab a bite to eat. At the Pan Pacific you can claim the expansive and beautiful lobby as your own private entertaining area and have room service delivered to you down there. That really comes in handy at times if you are in the entertaining mood.

So Pornwolf, is there a hotel in this world you *haven't* stayed at yet? I tell ya, I'm thinking of making you my personal travel agent

Hahaha, it's funny you say that. I have a massive travel site in development. For several years I can't remember if I even had a home... I lived on Continental Airlines. It's not as bad now. I'm kinda tired of traveling as much.

Are any of the hotels too far from where ad tech is?
San Fran seems small in actual size, so I am assuming so...
There is nothing that is FAR per se, but you don't want to be too far from the show since most people congregate at the bars in the nearest hotels. This is the first year that Ad Tech has just gotten too big they are doing it in Moscone convention center. For this reason, it is even more important to be close to where the action is.
I know the Marriott and the W are booked. The next closest hotel is the Four Seasons. Its all pricey though. Stay away from the Tenderloin. If you cant get in the Four Seasons, stick with Union Square hotels: Westin St Francis, Hotel Nikko, the Clift is also not TOO far away.
Try Google mapping closest hotels to Moscone Center. Remember also that the cab situation in SF is less than stellar.
According to the AdTech website, there are some rooms available at the Marriott. Also as mentioned, the W is nearby as is the Four Seasons and the Palomar.
Union Square is really close, walking distance, so you also have access to the Sir Francis Drake, Westin St. Francis, the Grand Hyatt and Sutton Place.

Thank you, I booked the Nikko. Hopefully that hotel is good.

Looks like I will be seeing alot of you at Ad Tech...
My new mainstream venture is debuting at Ad Tech...
For those that read Revenue Magazine..... my new venture is a magazine that will be in the same space as Revenue.. i don't want to say "compete", because its on a different level... somewhere between the "fluff" of generalized marketing writing and forrester/gartner type analysis of the mainstream affiliate marketing space.
We'll be handing out the sampler issue at Ad Tech...
You can get rooms at the W by using Tablet Hotels right now. I dunno how long it will last. There's rooms left at the Ritz and the Mandarin Oriental too.
I don't know exactly how they are doing it but sometimes the online travel sites prebook rooms to resell. This might be one of those cases.
