The discussion in this thread turned to other ways that the less honourable members of your local police force might find to take you down. It was pointed out that your site isn't 2257 compliant, which means you are currently breaking the law. Regardless of how easy it is to fix I'd be doing it ASAP.

I have all my paperwork, id's and everything dated and signed. I have them in yellow folders by website update in a file cabinet right here in my office. The only thing I would need to do is change the address to my home address that's it and I will make that small change if needed. if you have your 2257 set up like that you dont know the new regs and your not compliant. Take some of your money and get a adult lawyer. To say well no one was been investigated so that means I dont have to follow the law is not the brightest move. Especially considering you want to paint a great big target on yourself and fight the system.

I thought you had said this was on the video, but it wasn't so its your word against theirs. Again the video does not show them being thrown out, only asked to stop taping and get the camera out of the officers face.

The police officers did not make you pull up your shirt, you did it, they may have asked, but you seem like you like being defiant so why did you do it if you thought it was wrong, why did you not stand up for your rights, this whole thing you said was about protecting your rights, so why not tell them no? Stand up for what you believe in.

When you start trying to play this game with the police, even tho its because you want newspaper headlines so you can make some money, you being inaccurate in your description of the events will only make you less believeable if you ever do have to go to court.

having your friends on tape talking about the number of cop cars, that they are all there for you is not something you want a judge to see, it makes you look like you and your frinds are immature and or trouble makers.

Remember one thing about the police, you don't know their intentions or what they know. For all you know they are using the tickets to build a case against you, when they are finished they will throw in everything they have on you including 2257 if you are not compliant. They are not going to bust you for that by its self, they are not going to bust you for indeciency, they are going to charge you for several things to get the best chance of a conviction. They may arrest you on indeciency and file other charges against you like the 2257, not having the proper business licenses, running an adult business in an area not zoned for it, what ever they can come up with. You only see the small picture, they see the big picture.

You may not like the game once they really start playing. Know exactly what you are doing and do not complain if it goes against you. You know their are consequenses and by playing the game with them you have to understand that you could lose.

Reminds me of that old case in vegas when 11 girls were arrested at a private party. It doesn't just happen in small towns, I've seen this shit in vegas and LA too...

Unfortunately it's not about being "right", it's about dealing with a little brain in charge with the law on his side. They NEVER admit they're wrong and will stomp you into the ground until you submit.

But make sure the camera is low lux so he can turn the light off.. and he stays back.. Zoom is a wunnerful thing.. The light seemed to be the cop's excuse for wanting it turned off... which is kinda strange..
I'm sure if COPS came to town wanting to ride with them they'd say, "Oh nooo.. can't have that cause your light would be to bright for us to do our job."

This comes back to your original broader issue of "leave me alone, I am not doing anything illegal" - I'm pointing out that you are, fix it and they can't do shit...

Yes, they may never do anything anyway even if you didn't change it, but you need to consider the potential consequences if they did get a conviction.
