Is it normal for an 8 month old to wear 24 month old's clothes?

    Is it normal for an 8 month old to wear 24 month old's clothes?

    He doesn't fit into 18 month old's clothes anymore.... and he wears size 6 diapers.

    He's 8 months and 5 days old. The kid is a monster! He eats what ever we give him... never gets full. And of course, at this rapid rate... he's gone through clothes almost as fast as his diapers.

    Oh, and you'd think... growing that fast, he must be really fat. Nope... almost no rolls on the kid. He's not skinny either by any means... just not as fat as you'd expect. He's just growing quickly.

    I think perhaps I'll have to start asking Shaq for his handme downs.

      He doesnt look like hes got a weight problem, he's just "tall". I woudnt worry about it too much.

          I don't think you have anything to worry about. I would get him a basketball and hoop set up. Pronto!

          He might be just growing real fast now so he may still be wearing 24 month old's clothes when he's 24 months old. You never know with kids.

              Yeah, he definitely needs to learn how to handle a basketball early.

              That's true, he may stop growing so fast at any given time... there's no telling. But if he keeps it up, he'll be bigger than me soon.

                                      I just finished measuring him, which wasn't easy he like to rock and roll.
                                      I am hoping he will slow down as he gets older, it is costly you buy new clothes for him every couple of weeks or so.
                                      I wish he would start walking more than one or 2 steps ata time, he is getting heavy when carrying him any distance or up to the our third floor apt 5+ times a day.
                                      I am in better shape because of it though, so thats a big plus.

                                                              My wife used to worry about our little Tatiana because she's tall, thin and doesn't eat much but she's always more active, coordinated and alert then others her age.

                                                              You have a good looking fellow there and as long he's devolping, which he appears to be doing, then you've got nothing to worry about. OK, maybe you should start worrying about feeding him for the next 18 years but that's about it

                                                                                                                          He has 2 bottom teeth and can walk with our help. He's not to big on the balance thing yet. But he motors around the house by pushing himself around. He really isn't a fan of being on all fours for some reason.

                                                                                                                          Your daughter is adorable. Enjoy every minute... babies grow way to fast, but when you get one likes ours, you just wish you could have one that growed as slow as every other baby. We zoomed right through all the really tiny cuddly stages.... it kinda bums us out sometimes. We don't regret it at all, but you really start to realize how much you need to cherish those times when you don't get them as much as everyone else.

My daughter got sooo fat when she was a baby. She didn't really eat more than other babies, but she did get fat. She weighed 30 lbs on her first birthday. She wore a 4T at 18 months. Once she started walking and running around it dropped like crazy. She ended up losing weight, and weighed 30 lbs on her 5th birthday, and still wore a 6T at 9. Now she is almost 12, and yes they grow so fast. Enjoy it while you can.

                                                                                                                                          He honestly just looks tall ... our son was bigger but not fat and he was in 2T early, but now that he's actually two, he's still in 2T. He really stabled out ... maybe that's what will happen to your little guy. Once they get active and running around, they thin out. And he may start eating less because he won't need as much.

                                                                                                                                          Then again, you could have an NBA player on your hands too!

                                                                                                                                          Better start working some extra hours to keep the food in the house! ; )

I wouldn't worry about it. My son was the same way. It's starting to even out now that he's 18 months. The rate he was going through clothes was incredible. He'd wear a sleeper maybe 3 times and he'd outgrow it.

                                                                                                                                                                                      My guy is up to my waiste now. Very tall and bulky. Not fat bulky, guy has huge muscles. He's going to be built like me I think, though taller.
