Kobe could easily lead a team to the NBA championship without Shaq.. Imaging if they had the money that shaq takes up they could spend it on some quality people to put around Kobe.
Shit if Shaq is only going to play half a season then he should only get half his money so we can get some dedicated players in there who dont wait until 2 weeks before the begining of the season to have surgery he knew he was going to have a year prior
