1.instant or weekly payouts (with small hold time)
2.exclusive or not overused content at fhgs.
3.good templates/banners/descriptions at fhgs (not less then 3% CTR)
4.banners+descriptions (not same like at fhgs)
5.freehost (with cgi support will be very cool - also providing some domain or subdomains for freehost will be cool)

You're using NATS already, so the ability to create unlimited campaigns is there and appreciated.
Banners and ads of all sizes are great. Wide banners (600+ px wide), Square banners (300x300, etc) and HPAs/FPAs are always needed.
Exclusive content and access to the exclusive content restricted to webmasters who actually send decent signups. I hate logging on to an aff program and seeing the entire members' area available for download.

epass, ability to link to join pages, realistic pps payouts, weekly payments, icq support, pop-up free tours, access to the membersareas without the need to sign up first (if needed after a few sales) and last but not least: memberareas in which I believe. 99% of the membersareas out there are a total rip off at $40/month. I'm in it for the long run so I don't want to upset to many surfers.Comment

no crazy minimum payouts (for non-US affiliates)
lots of content to use. (but add a rule to your TOS that affiliates can only use that content in a "reasonable" way... I've seen newbie sites offering full promo set zips for download... you don't want that, your "real" affiliates don't want that...)

I believe staying innovative and keeping up with technology will do the trick. For instance, besides having banners, exits, FHGs. We also offer RSS Feeds, Blogs, Thumbnail Spinner, etc.
Also, having easy navigation of a site for the surfer creates higher conversions - and thats just for starters, I could go on and on.....
