I've got an army of family and friends who are medical professionals. The ONE thing they agree on and are stunned by are the stories patients tell when they've been dead on the operating table and are revived. I studied OBE's (out of body experiences) and chalked it up as bullshit until I heard the stories first hand.
It's fucking amazing how googobs of stories about people leaving their bodies and telling surgeons and nurses what they were doing as well as what was going on in other parts of the hospital! Not a case of they were asleep and 'heard' shit. No, they SAW shit and at some great distances too like what was going on at their homes, in other operating rooms etc.
Whatever the reason is the bottom line is the phenomenon is real and has been with people since recorded history.Comment

I think there should be some proof of that. But it's not related to the life after death or other magical nonsense. Dopes, medical narcosis or even apparent death cause hallucinations and black-out. So let's imagine what happens if someone being under narcosis partially comes to his senses for some time (actually it's not a rarity). He hears (sometimes even sees if his eyes are open) everything that happens around. What medical staff is doing and talking about. After awakening his brain will mix all the real information (everything he saw and heard during that time) with illusions. Some parts of memories will be clear but others will be distorted. The brain will complete the picture with some fantasy and fragments of reality. So that person may consider he was flying out of his body etc. The same happens to junkies or very drunk people.
