A month off alcohol

About 6 months ago when i wasn't very well. So it wasn't too difficult a decision at the time.

What's your reasons ?

Good test, keep us informed how you go. A mate of mine did it and looked and felt 5 years younger after a month off. I may give it a try too

Did it a couple of years ago... I think I stayed off it for about 2-3 months.

I have plans to do it again soon, but I better hurry up before the summer gets here. ;-)

I have a pain in my stomach, and it feels like an ulcer (had one before). Plus it's spiralling out of control. Hardly remember a day going by without some level of hangover, and I'm sick of it.

I can drink like a fish for months then stop for a year. Has no hold over me, but thats just the way I am.

I did quit for about 2 months on a dare(2 or 3 years ago). Since then, I don't think I've had a full month off of alcohol, but I am doing it right now.

3rd day in.

i only drink on webmaster conventions and maybe when i go to a restaurant or a club. nearly never at home. sometimes i don't even touch a beer for weeks.

Thanks for the encouragement folks. I managed 3 weeks before my daughter was born so I have every faith I'll be able to make it a month.

I'm starting tomorrow. Have to make sure the fridge is empty first to remove all temptation!

I usually stop drinking for a few month period when the belly gets too big, lol. It's always surprisingly easy for me to do... the past 2 months I went to weekends only from nearly every night for a year-ish, but I've even 'forgotten' to drink a couple of weekends during this time... drinking tonight though!! :D

Staying away from booze isnt a problem for me. A really bad hangover is enough to turn me off for a long time.

To tell truth, my last 1 month without alcohol was when I was about 15een, actually that was time I was 15 years without alcohol (not mentioning 1 beer from time to time).

And guess what happen in passing years? You won't believe, but my fabulous math talent was gone :D

Fucking fuck this is impossible.

I have 4 days of bbq's / parties etc lined up over the Easter weekend, mostly arranged by the wife and her various mother's groups. There is no way on earth I am going to make it through that little lot unscathed.
