A couple of times the bank will offer more that the expected value (probability weighted value of the available spots) vs probability that you will lose a big spot. hrm it's not really a game of skill, because you can't know what you will get offered in the future, you can only compare the current offer against previous offers you can no longer select. So it's not really a game of skill because you don't have to choices as to which is your best option, all you have an offer that is roughly equal to the weighted average of the remaining amounts.Originally posted by gideongallery

actually that is what most people think that why the risk so much when they lose.
If people used the offer as a mid point and calculated the probability that they would remove a choice greater given the number of choices they need to make before the next offer people would make a lot more money.
