Fat people, think taxes could help you?

In light of this thread http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showthread.php?t=592806

I honestly think morbidly obese people should be required to pay some sort of fat tax. I'm talking fat lazy gluttons that don't give a shit about themselves... not the people with medical conditions or handicaps (yet 80% of those could probably just eat right and keep the weight off).

It's not that I don't like obese people... I really don't care what that part of the population does either way, however... I wouldn't bang a fatty. It's the truth and 95% of the 'average' population wouldn't opt for a fatty right off the bat either. But that isn't really important.

But maybe, just maybe a monetary penalty would help a fatty get out of the rut of eating like shit and actually learn a thing or two about nutrition and actually get healthy... diabetes, heart attacks, etc are almost all related to obesity.

I may sound like a total dick for this thread, but a lot of overweight people just don't want to do anything for themselves because "they are too busy with work, etc to go to the gym or eat right". That is the lamest excuse ever and I bet if there was $ involved w/ being in a severe category of "obese" people would be forced to help themselves which in the long run would be a good thing.

Someone forced to loose 100lbs because they didn't want to or couldn't afford the "luxury tax" would bitch at first (which I'm sure I'll hear a lot of in this thread) yet praise the tax after the weight is off saying it was the push they needed.

Sure its their choice... but committing suicide is someones choice as well, yet there are penalties for that.

Anyway, thats my let the bashing begin!

Haha I knew this one was coming... I don't really care to the point where I'd go on a march about it. But I would say that I am all for a healthier population.

Just because I am stating that some people could use an extra push doesn't mean I am arrogant (yes, it was implied).

You obviously have health problems because of your weight (as you have stated in past threads) and you are calling me arrogant for proposing that "jee, maybe you should do something about it" and maybe you need a different motivating factor to get you off your ass.

          whatever

In a way we do, we get taxed based on the amount of food purchased right? So, if we buy more food to keep our fat belly full, then we are paying more in taxes then the skinny dude who only eats one 99 cent cheeseburger

I pay for more food per month.

I pay for more when I go out to eat.

I pay for more to get good clothes that will fit my extreme size.

I pay for more when I fly.

I pay for more when I buy a car because I buy ones with lots of room.

I pay more all the time, all day long. Tax me an extra 5% and I wont give a fuck.

but I better get some socialized health care for that 5%. I've never relied on a government system help pay for me, dont think I should have to pay for it. But If i know the money is going to help other fatties and ONLy other fatties in the future, i'm all for it.

I wonder how much is costs the states everytime a skinny retard walks in the street and gets hit by a car, having surgeries, having to be hospitalized and cared for on tax dollars.

Okay, this is true I will agree. You buy more, put more money in the pockets of restaraunts, etc.

But I didn't mean tax because you should be paying more money than you do for the way you live now... just a tax more like a motivating factor to make a lifestyle change that would only benefit you.

I just can't grasp how people can let themselves rot away like that, and I have a feeling it is just because they aren't motivated to make a change for the better.

you think taxes would deter people at all?

that's the most retarded thing i've heard in a long time.

do taxes stop people from buying cigs? No.

do taxes stop people from buying booze? No.

taxes don't do anything buy annoy the consumer. the average person will just scrape together the money, no matter how much the tax.

also, be careful with your taxes. people started a revolution over taxes already in the country. no one wants thousands of angry fat people marching on washington.

who knows though, maybe they would be skinny by the end of the march?

well, its something to get offensive about. If people in here start saying we should start taxing pornographers extra, we'd get defensive right? Or start taxing women more cause they bleed out of their vabginas. or jews paying more cause they eat too many bagels.

its fucking bigotry and it deserves to be rebelled against, sorry.

I don't think it would help at all. Seriously obese people, and I'm talking 400+, have, for the most part, given up. So unless you will tax them an extra 50%, money would be not an issue. It is at that point, a psychological matter.

On the other hand, it is not of your business. Leave them alone. If someone wants to be fat, let them be. If someone wants to be a pornographer, let them be. What is there always someone trying to police everything?

                                          Actually, tical..

no. I'm probably fatter than anyone you know and I love my body. I like being fat. been fat all my life and it took a long time for me to learn to like the body I have, but I do.

I've also met a girl who loves my body at the size it is as well. She's a petite little girl, weighs in at about 120, and loves the fact that i'm fat.

So, I got two people here right now who wouldnt pay that 100 bucks in this magical fantasy world where 100 bucks buys you perfect health.

                                          ultimately understand one thing from me if nothing else;

losing weight for someone who is chornically obese is next to impossible. People like me struggle to stay small or smaller all our lives. some win, some lose, some give up. but if you think a tax is going to pressure us as much as peer pressure did when I was in college, think again.

I have a Porn Blog that's actually fun to read. Like it? Link To It.

you know a good start to getting people healthier would be to start regulating the processing of alot of the food we consume in america.

steroid injections, antibiotics, and god knows what else they put into food are not helping this countries health.

I dont live in canada, canada can tax whoever the fuck they want. but if america pulls this shit, without providing some sort of health care for those they're taxing... bad

well, its something to get offensive about. If people in here start saying we should start taxing pornographers extra, we'd get defensive right? Or start taxing women more cause they bleed out of their vabginas. or jews paying more cause they eat too many bagels.

its fucking bigotry and it deserves to be rebelled against, sorry.

I'm glad you care about my health tho, just know I dont care about yours. whether you smoke or do some drugs or drink too much its your decision and i'm not going to bother myself with telling you what you should and shouldnt be doing.

where do you draw the line tho? what about the christian who is worried about our souls and starts passing laws to keep us from sinning in this industry?

its a dangerous fucking way tot hink my friend, its why I get defensive.
It's not bigotry, it can be avoided unless you fall into the medical issue / handicapped group.

I'm not saying I want you to be just like me, but it doesn't make any sense for someone morbidly obese NOT to lose weight because "they are comfortbale with their body"... but to each his own I suppose.

You even stated in your last post you struggle to stay small or smaller... which means you've tried. But just gave up.

Struggling has nothing to do with it, weight loss is not impossible for a morbidly obese person. Its just that they either don't want to learn about nutrition for a COMPLETE LIFESTYLE CHANGE or just opt to be lazy and hope something like the ab roller and lean cuisines will change their body and when they don't they complain about a struggle. bs.

Someone 400+ pounds could probably lose weight on a mcdonalds only diet without any excersize if they knew how to put their food together properly.

No offense to anyone, I'm just saying its pretty annoying when you hear people make excuses all day long about why they are as big as they are and how they had to learn to be comfortable with a body that was never intended for them in the first place.
