                I got a 168 on the last test I took but it's online so WTF does that mean? I was interested in showing up for a Mensa test and seeing how I do on something more official like that. But like most "geniuses" I'm too lazy! =]

People over 160 are considered High genius(nober prize winners) like Einstein and the likes. I doubt anyone in this thread actually has anything over 130, or even 120 on that matter.                                                                                                                 Although we commonly refer to IQ by raw numbers, they can be confusing because there are different tests and different scales. For example, in the US the usual standard deviation applied is 15 or 16, but in Europe it is 24 or 25. Thus an IQ of 130 in the US can be equivalent to an IQ of 150 in Europe.

                                                                                                                The minimum entry level for Mensa in the UK (placing someone in the top 2%) varies according to the test:

                                                                                                                Cattell III B - 148
                                                                                                                Culture Fair - 132
                                                                                                                Ravens Advanced Matrices - 135
                                                                                                                Ravens Standard Matrices - 131
                                                                                                                Wechsler Scales - 132

                                                                                                                I believe that the Wechsler (WISC III/IV) tests are most often used in the US, while Mensa uses Cattell and Culture Fair, noting that a middle-aged adult cannot score more than 161 on the Cattell test.

The last one I got 129 and according to the "norm" that is above normal..... ask my friends and they will disagree too.... "Joe above average???!! Naah! "

                                                                                                                        Then again, in the army I took a test, dont know the result, but they put me in the bombsquad. That probably indicate a very low IQ
