22 years is a tad much imo. Ive known some 13 year old kids that were pretty damn mature. If you think back even to say the 60's it wasn't uncommon for maybe girls that age to marry and sometimes much older men. Saying its a different time might work to an extent, but lets face it 13 year olds today are much more savvy about sex etc now than they would of been back in the 60's and beyond. Just a bit over the top on the sentence. Think about it the girl will be 35 when he gets out and 45 when he is off of probation. I really doubt she will have long term mental issues over this. I lost my virginity at 13 to a 15 year old girl. Not a huge age difference. But come on 22 years pfft.
