Php is probably the easiest programing language (or should I say scripting language) available...
Once you went throught C++, php is a piece of cake....

Pretty much every every database management system out there has a similar SQL syntax...(of course there are particularities in each DBMS, but still you can do basic selects, inserts and updates). A database is a much more efficient way of saving/updating data than using flat files (even if the db is mysql)...I can understand why you dont want to code it yourself, but why refuse to use script that takes advantage of a technology that is made pretty much JUST for that...(saving data)...?mmm my sig was too big... no more cool animation
