Most guys don't seem to know, but the engagement one is the one with the rock on it... at least I didn't know that. wedding ring often just a gold band

Yup Yup...But my wife's band has diamonds as well.

Her engagement ring does not have a huge rock. 1 carat center that is tension mounted, smaller diamonds on each side, and then the diamond wedding band. It's elegant, classy, and it gets nice comments from the chicks with the 1 massive rock in the center...And cost a whole hell of a lot less.

Yeah. Women'll generally wear the pair of rings together.

Some jewelers/artisans will actually sell you engagement ring/wedding bad sets at a discounted rate... so if you buy it all at once, you save a few bucks.
