How'd that happen?
Impaction = severe constipation or what

We put sand in her tank...
They have them on sand in the pet store...
They have them on sand at the zoo...
They live in a desert type environment(AKA SAND)...
So, we were none the wiser.
Even though I would always put her food on a dry plate... she would usually kick it around enough to get a few grains on it. Shes about 1.2 years old and apparently over time the sand builds up.
Fortunately we got to her in time to make a difference with a lot of laxative administered through the white tube you see on her back. Hopefully she can get rid of that soon.
She could easily have died cuz of her extremely small size. Surgery would have killed her for sure.
