Funny, up until a few months ago, ePassporte still had "Guilders" in their system (the old Dutch currency), which have been replaced by the Euro for a good 3 years and now they're lecturing us?

But that's exactly the point -- THEY DO. When foreign companies approach the US to do business, they speak English perfectly and demonstrate an understanding of our culture, at the very least sufficient to talk to us intelligently about our markets and our businesses. As someone who is both American and fluent in several languages, I have a unique perspective. I can suggest I am with one side or the other, depending on my mood and/or my curiosity -- lol. But time and again, I see that it is the expectation of most American companies that the "foreign guy" will meet them more than half way ... Here's a nutty rant I wrote a while back about Language, Conquest and Survival. Be warned, it's VERY nutty --

yea, and a good amount of hollywood movies make the same mistake.

You hear some villain talk german, and they are 'dutch' in the movie.. Huge mistake, all the money to make a blockbuster but still make mistakes a 10 year old european kid wouldnt even make
