It's difficult to enforce agreements that haven't been put on paper. Even though someone says something and means it one day, he may change his mind at a later date, or the material may end up being owned by someone else. Whatever the release allows will probably eventually happen.

That's really good advice. If only all content photographers were ethical as you.
