When I got into this business 3 years ago, I was talked into doing several softcore photoshoots (I wont mention the companies name).
I was given all the regular...you are going to be famous bullshit. They told me I was going to be in several internet websites for single women. I didnt know a lot about the internet, and thought it was a great opportunity for my modeling.
Three months later, my pictures were being sold to HUNDREDS of gay website owners.
Legally there was nothing I could do. I signed the contract.
FUCK ALL OF YOU

Here's advice I give all models:
1) don't do anything you wouldn't want anyone to know about
2) ask where and how the photos will be used
3) read the release before the shoot and assume that anything it allows will happen sooner or later
4) then, decide if it's something you want to do, and have the nerve to say no
It's difficult to enforce agreements that haven't been put on paper. Even though someone says something and means it one day, he may change his mind at a later date, or the material may end up being owned by someone else. Whatever the release allows will probably eventually happen.
