    Direct Mail Marketing for Adult?

I just checked my mail from yesterday and there was a direct mail piece advertising an adult site (I will not mention the site, I'm not here to start drama). I wasn't insulted or upset but can see how some people could very well be pissed off. It was an attractive piece and didn't show any nudity but alluded to "hardcore action".

What if I had kids and they checked my mail? I don't think this was the brightest marketing idea and I am still wondering how and why the post office accepted it. They are usually nazis when it comes to presorted mail.

Hell, I don't even know how they got my information and that's also scary. If they just used a courier route, which the label indicated, then there are going to be A LOT of pissed off people. Has anyone else ever tried this approach? Seems pretty ignorant to me seeing how the flack you catch could never even out the possible ROI.

I must get about 50 - 60 of these things a day...... fortunately I installed Qurb (not a plug for it).... so they're put off into a spam folder and deleted without being looked at...

I hope the fuckers who send this stuff out anre paying a packet for nil results...

That is correct. It was standard USPS snail mail. I received a postcard in the mail advertising and adult site. I wasn't referring to SPAM which is annoying but pretty much comes with the territory and is to be expected.

I recommend keeping your personal address and business address separate.

I do, however this was a carrier route mailing (they put one in every mailbox in the driver's route). If you look at the label it doesn't say your name or company name...it says, "Internet User" and there is an endorsement line at the top.

Pretty fucking stupid if you ask me.
