Seems old timey but it draws you in shooting aliens down.

Yes there are free games online. My experience is that the commercial ones are much better.
Many games have both solo and multi-player options. Multi-player being where you play with and against others online.
I usually buy my games at Best-Buy. I don't know if they have it in your area.Another worthless post?Comment

If you like board and/or card games try yahoo games. You can play chess, checkers, backgammon and more plus all sorts of card games. And you play against others.
If you want to download some games, maybe try tucows.com you can get a lot of demos and sometimes full freeware versions.

Alot of the puter stores have CD's with quite a few of the older, demo or even new shareware games for like 10 bucks. Lots of fun with them for awhile
We learned on Wolfenstein! Shareware everywhere on file sites. Nothing fancy again but its a time eater once you get hooked and want to win. Red Dragon was the hubbies fav online game back in the 90's. My kid uses a ROM emulator thingy to play all the old Nintendo games like Zelda and Super Marios Bros. She especially likes to play the anime games from Japan. They're tiny and 16 bit I believe, so they don't suck up all your system's resources.

I was a big player for the last 7 years, but stopped due to work... I tried sooo many games.. I was in the warez/pirating community so playing games was something boring
If you like Role Playing Game / Dungeons & Dragon atmosphere (well I didn't really like D&D myself anyway.. and didn't really like RPG too).. but buy Baldur's Gate... it's the best game I played in my fucking life (except for Quake and Doom, but it's shooter and not the kind of game you play on a laptop)
I don't even have time to buy and play Baldurs Gate II, it's like 200 hrs of gameplay.. but it's an amazing game series, you can't go wrong.Comment
