I still have friends in college; so I've been hanging with the college scene since I was 15... I dig it; all the fun without the stress.

There are a bunch of international students here in Budapest studying medicine, veterinary sciences, architecture, etc. They have some great parties, but I hate the non-student part of going to work the next day whilst they stay in bed and skip lectures.
Uny was cool, but real life is cool as well. You just live with a different agenda, being drunk and getting laid aren't top priorities anymore. Doesn't mean you don't get to indulge once in a while, just not every night.

Miss it? Not at all. We endured the college teacher's strike in Toronto back in the early 90s - and it was no picnic.
In the end they settled for the first offer they'd been given...thus rendering the entire strike a big waste of time, money and effort.
Dealing with college instructors, faculty and admin was all a big exercise in futility and frustration.Comment

I hate my college and high school days, but I miss my childhood days when I was carefree and had no worries, when I was just new to the world and everything was a new experience. My childhood was the best time of my life.
High school was hell on earth and college was only a good place to learn, but I didn't socialize or "hooked up" with anyone during college, it was just a place to learn.Comment

I don't miss my college days, mostly just because where I went to school. But I'm still young, and live in a college town pretty much so I enjoy it now even though I'm not really in school but my fiance is so I still experience all the fun stuff except schoolwork

Do I ever miss college? Hell no.
The college I went to was full time full dress code. If you missed more than three days in one quarter you were bounced. Full time hours (at night) and a full time job during the day, combined with a full dress code daily - meaning slacks and a tie - was brutal for two straight years.Herschel Savage
