Any tips on how to set the recurring price for a paysite. There is a huge range out there.

as a side note, has anyone had to raise a long-time price at their paysite, maybe by $5 or so, and did you see a bad outflux of members due to the price going up? any complaints from long-term members, etc.?...promise her a defamation, tell her where the rain will fall..Comment

1) cant change recurring prices to my knowledge without letting all the members know, and authorize.
2) If you raise hte price, it should only affect new members not old.
3) If its a quality site, when the recurring transaction goes stale, and needs renewing, $5 wont matter to them, either they like it, or they dont.
4) If a current member happens to see that prices went up, and enjoy their membership, they'll think they're getting an even better deal, having been locked in the lower price.Comment

24.99 to 39.99
New sigups stable ( but more money). Rebills are also steady and a deal at the old price. They feel like they are getting a bargain, which in fact they are.
I know that Asspimple is stoopid ... As he says, it is a FACT !

Went from $19.95 to $24.95 to $29.95 in the last few years, haven't noticed any dropoffs either time. $39.95 seems a bit much IMO, I would think some sites are that high only to recoup money paid to affiliates.Comment
