Dreamland was bought out by 2 investors who live down the street from me about 5 years ago. They bought the franchise from the family that started it here and ever since then it just hasn't been the same. One of the best places in the world for BBQ is down in Southern Illinois in a town called Murphysboro. The restaurant is called "17th Street", and it's one a fuckton of world bbq rib titles. Bill Clinton used to have them flown to him at the White House all the time, seriously.

Sofar in LA I havent been able to find a rib joint. Not like the south where you can get good BBQ almost anywhere.
Best BBQ I ever had was in a little town about 30 min north of Little Rock Arkansas. They had so many awards and trophies you had to walk around them to get a seat. awesome place, wish I could remember the name.Comment
