Dallas, Houston and Austin all have very active gay communities. Dallas by far one of the best that I have been to, its comparable to West Hollywood, in that everything is right there together. Dallas also boasts the largest dance club in the state, which is ironically a gay club. Also, Dallas is pretty much the drag queen capital of the world, they have all of the national competitions there, as well as a huge HRC Black Tie event.

You should adjust it for the total state population.

Obviously states with more people will have more gays (even if the gay/straight rate is equal)
