... we're currently in the building of a really uptodate blacklistdb with host/ip/subnet/reason. We're considering releasing it as a free service to TGPowners.

What should be added to such a service except the the above info? Functions to list the db in different formats for easy import into a SQLDB/whatever? What formats do ppl use for their blacklists?

Btw, the TGPcheating is probably bigger then most ppl expect. Seems Huge when you scrape some on the surface and the methods are getting more and more sophisticated. We think its possible to stay up to date though, with the right tools.

I have a feeling it's the same group of people harassing TheHun.
I have bunch to list, which I'll add when I get to my computer.
They are sly, very good galleries but then they fuck up their listings with those redirects.
They use a million and one names, domains, registrars and addresses.

swedguy, you must understand that I live off of gallery submissions. My hubby has the TGP. If everyone does as you say, then basically, I don't have much to go on in this business as well as 1000's of other honest webmasters, correct?
Why should we all suffer for these Russian scam artists? (Most have a russian address or their concept of the english language proves they are from those parts of the world)

Fruck, they give the good ones a bad name.

To hell with them, I'll just ban them all until I can depend on a good 2-3 hundred honest webmasters that can provide quality galleries - to keep building our site. If our site goes up, and we link to the galleries, then their sites go up. It's a matter of reciprocating quality, respect and search engine popularity.

I still don't know how the hun tracked these guys.. The galleries are all clean, but the domains and everything else seemed quite different.

As you see in my thread on this page I had a run in with this guy who also happens to be 7 hours ahead of eastern time.

This is what I mean...

You have 100% SE traffic. The surfer comes to your site, you only get the opportunity to sell something to this surfer on your TGP and he gets bucket load of free porn. I think that's a waste, but that's my opinon.

If I would have had 100% SE traffic to my TGP, I would definitely not accept submissions. I would put galleries that are only my own that has very few pics and heavy advertising. I get the opportunity to sell them something on my TGP + on ALL galleries. 100% goes to me.

Might not be the best for bookmarkers. But if I already have a big stream of SE traffic, I don't think I would really mind.

TheHun tracks them by deligence, plus because of his experience in programming, I gather he can trace them better than we (myself and my husband) could. I did it the good'ole detective way of chipping away at the facade by going through whois db, checking all domains and similarities. To be honest where the IP's are, if I found more than five on the same server but different last 3 digits, I banned everything from 001 to 100. When I'm bored, I'll do the 101 to 999. I hope they rot in hell.

Instead of spending time with my kids, my blood was boiling over a fucker I don't even know or could tell to in my sweet voice.

There whatever I find as a common denominator with these guys, I ban everything in between. If they can prove differently, then by all means, send me an email. I'm very understanding when I'm at fault. When I'm right, hell hath no fury like Trixxxia scorned!

I'm sure they don't give a flying fuck, but hey, it's my time, my surfers and every month I try my best to stay up there on the SE's so who the fuck are they to piss on my parade?

You know swedguy, you are correct, this is why we are looking at trusted webmasters & paid submissions only. However, in order to be a TGP, we need to be able to offer variety. We target 2 niches, it kinda gets boring same template, same sponsor, same niche.

1) We want to gain bookmarkers (eventually they will buy) - we want them to tell their friends to visit our site.

2) Although we're in it to make a buck, the gallery submitter may be my hardlink partner in the future.

3) Personal satisfaction that our site is growing - in order to do that, it has to have quality and variety - two people alone can't do that.

4) No matter how many SE hits you get a day - an advertiser also looks at the total amount of traffic your site receives. 5-10-20 thousand isn't as appealing as 50-100-200k a day.

5) In order to learn & grow, you have to know and trust more than just your spouse :-)


With all that said, if we can't trust people we may just go your way!

Hm, I currently do not ban subnets myself since it could affect innocent posters. Banning IPs could do that too though .. but its nicer. Theese guys seems to have ALOT of domains so just banning domains would be ineffective. Everything is probably very automated, from buying new domains, to html.

Something awesome for the db, would be to run a dummy dns server sorta like maps/orbs/whatever, charge a buck or two a month for access to it, and we just do a domain lookup and see if it resolves to a dummy host.
(easier than dumping/sending/importing a big db dump all the time)
Of course, I may be thinking the list is bigger than it actually is.

ve started converting my tgp's to TGP Devil. so far, it has performed very well.

The Link bot feature allows me the chance to automate the rechecking of galleries. I still use a blacklist, but running the bot runs automatically 3 times daily, cleaning out any posting rule vilolations.

New link bot: Link bot will now check filesizes to catch galleries that have been modified since being submitted.


Features:
Approve/Deny Posts several at a time.
Accepts posts from all auto-submit programs (such as TGSW and Russian Submitter).

Supports unlimited categories.

Can check for a valid email address by sending submitter a confirmation email.
Rank submissions. The higher the rank, the higher they will appear in the days listing.
Supports preferred submitters. Issue your best submitters a "submitters account". Each submitter can have different settings such as default rank, auto-approval, and max number of submissions per day.

Before I started cleaning out drawnsex and his buddies - we had approximately 9000 in queue.

2 weeks of cleaning.....we're down to 4000 (we normally got 1200 submissions per day)
