Yup if price is no concern I'd say get this one but I think there's a 120GB version that runs cooler/quieter coming out. I have the 40GB version but it isn't backward compatible with PS2 games and only has 2 USB ports. Since I don't play older games and only use it as a media server (connecting to my desktop) the cheap version was perfect for me.

PS3 40GB + bluetooth remote + home computer = kick ass!

Here's a slickdeals thread with details on how to score a 40gig PS3 with Spiderman 3 for $319.99.

The movie deal is a rebate. So long as it's still going all you need is your receipt and the rebate form.

I guess if you have SonyCard, you can also use that and save $100, instead of getting the Target CC and saving 10%.

i got the 40gb spiderman 3 one and it came w/ a rebate for 5 free blu ray movies (limited selection, but not all bad choices)

I am sure you did your research but other then a Blu Ray player the PS3 is pretty useless. I have had mine for over a year and it has gotten around a total of 30 minutes of game play on it

The X box 360 and Wii are played all the time.

edit: BTW, if you get a PS3 I got an extra controller and PS3 remote I got by mistake. Sell them to you for basically nothing as I am too lazy to list them on ebay.

I got a 40gig tonight... said fuckit and did it. Pretty much just wanted a blu-ray player but i figured having a web browser and all that was enough of a bonus to get the PS3.
