This probably happens alot actually,
The software kitchens use tend to be buggy, and I've seen "kitchen messages" go out on bills more than a few times before we finally stopped using that feature.
Its to notify cooks of changes etc, and meant to only be seen in the kitchen on the machine that prints the food orders.
Back in the day I worked at a hotel and we had this fussy old couple that came in every day and liked their food a certain way, so the waitresses would send a message through the order system so we'd know it was that specific couple,
Well one day they noticed a charge for " fussy old couple" on their bill,It Was pretty funny and I was glad I was in the kitchen and not a server that day.
