How did you get into this biz?

Quite my job in sales after doing it for 2 years after college. Took a break and then went on Craigslist where I found a Affiliate Manager Postion here at Moviedollars.
I thought to myself "I like porn, I like money, and I like computers. So why the fuck not?" Now here I am and couldn't be happier.

I had a shity job working for a company that did C and D checks on aircraft. An entire company full of people that either hated their job, their life or both. I hated it. My roommate got me an interview and the rest is history.

I got into this biz out of necessity really. The company I used to work as a mechanic closed/relocated so I was out of work. After fitting display kitchens in DIY shops with my uncle for a month and then doing nothing for a few months after that I decided I needed to make some money.

I was always on my computer even when I did not work online and I got reading a few articles and stuff about making a living in the adult biz. So I decided to go for it. I had zero money behind me starting out, just enough for a domain name and some cheap 5 buck hosting.

Never looked back.

Was laid off by a dot com start up and took a month off to clear my head. Another month of disappointing interviews and offers and a friend mentioned an adult company that was hiring.
I interviewed the very next day, it's been almost 8 years and I am still with TrafficCashGold

My story is a bit odd:-) I bought my first computer -94, got connected and realized that whatever searchengine I used I ended up looking at porn, even though I did a search for whatever. I got a bit pissed of since there where no sites for women, so I decided to learn photoshop and html. I did and I made a free site full of half naked men and when that site had been up for about a month I was contacted by a photographer working in Thailand. He liked my graphic skills and threw me the idea of opening a paysite together. Back in those days we charged $25 per YEAR......... The site was fine but we decided to part and here I am today. Running another Asian site, Thaichix.com since over 8 years.

Brief, yet long story, those who need to know the full story know it

Started my online/internet career in 1998 for a mainstream company, bounced around between a few companies as life happens until 2001

In 2001 started a blog, posting pictures and videos I found from around the net, ala peanut butter sandwiches, just like CJ and stile project. Along with this I Posted rants that pretty much only meant shit to me as I was going through a separation and divorce from my wife (the reasons for this will remain known only to those close to me) and looking for a outlet for frustration.

In the yr 2001 I joined a webmaster forum that will remain nameless due to rules of this board. The owners and members of this board know what I am speaking of. 2 members of this forum approached me privately and asked why I had no advertisements on my page, for discussion purposes lets call them Sherm and Dr Bizarro. So after listening to what was said I decided to post a email harvester for free daily porn, also known as CE Cash. As I saw money start to come in via 1.50 per email I decided to throw a add for... honestly I cant remember the site but it was a part of the TCG (www.trafficcashgold.com) program... and while not spectacular, I made 1 sale about every 3 days and about 10 dollars a day with CE Cash. This clued me on a unknown market to me that at the time I seemed to have a semi natural knack for... traffic wise my site was doing about 300 uniques a day but was able to market the goods to whoever came to see me.

throughout the yr and in to 02 I updated this site daily with just a lil bit of shit, I did this steadily while working a full time mainstream job, revenues were steady, with just a few sign ups per period and at this time I was hosted on a free host.time goes by, I went to my 1st Internext Las Vegas show, and the 1st people I meet are Boneprone, Voodoo and Dugmor. 3 people who every time I have seen or run into, always treat me with respect and offer any advice I have a question about. Later this Day I met Sherm and Dr. Bizarro and they too have always been EXTREMELY helpful to me.

Later in this same year, the Paris Hilton sex tape hit the net, and I made a good sized sum of money in a very short period of time. This again spoke to me about the potential money online to be made. Again, off of advice sought from those 5 individuals I first met, I started to see a income that matched what I was making already doing full time mainstream work.. (at&t intranet for a call center) and the money from the paris tape, and savings I had... I decided to go full steam ahead.

I learned quickly the Juicy D Links, J $styles and D$ way of marketing... networking and getting to know those I am working with to make myself money, and making myself known. I got invited to a local Halloween party from a guy named S P A N N O W, where I of course met him, Tool Guy, Missy, Loryn, Eric (captain red eyes, tender thighs). Barry(thehatchet), Media, JFK, AaronM, Vivid Chen, JT and others. In a drunken state I told Mark that someday soon I would be working with him. If you dont know that was about half of the adult.com crew at the time, plus others. Come the next Internext show, the red rooster GFY warm up party I am introduced to Lensman and a week after the show I have interview with Adult.com and properties.

While I no longer work with Lensman and company, I do continue to hold a slight hand in the industry. The rest shall we say is history.

Dropped out of college cuz I knew more than my teachers and I ended up teaching the whole class what that had to learn on shit that I've taught myself from when I was at the age of about 9/10 years old when I first got the net.

Never realized the actual profitable gain that could be made until after working a couple of dead end jobs and also an apprenticeship in the engineering industry.

Hmmmm - funny thing about that. My friend and now business partner introduced me to the business. It made good business sense to an old mainstreamer, now I'm along for the ride.

I started in 1996 with clickcash and clickbucks when I was 16 spamming on IRC via eggdrop bots. Got into mainstream, then came back to adult in 2001.

I was working for Pepsi back in 95 when I bought my first computer. Didn't know how to even put it together without instructions and hadn't typed since 10th grade.

After a few months, I became a chat host for the MSN chat network and one of the people I met showed me his porn page and said he made a couple hundred bucks/month with it so I thought, "why not toss up a page and see what happens".

This was easier said than done however because I didn't know how to build a website - but I had thousands of images I'd collected as a surfer. YNOT was just gaining momentum and I'd found it from visiting Persian Kitty's website. I posted and found out that I couldn't use those images so I bought the same 3 cd's from ZMaster that everyone else owned!

Through YNOT, I met up with Jonathan and Michelle and they took me under their wing. Through their kindness and alot of very very long hours viewing the source pages to teach myself how websites were built I became pretty good at making sites and learning the business.

I ran Sexysites (the actual first adult freehost) for Jonathan and Michelle and took it up to over 1 million uniques back when that was a shitload of traffic.

I also took on managing XXX Counter and that was doing very well when it was sold to SexTracker. Joe and Michelle moved so I went with the web properties and began working with FCI. That in itself is a book so suffice it to say I left FCI and began consulting work with a few other counters that were starting up as well as designing value added services for many of the top webmaster programs.

This is about the time I came up with Intelliware (which you all now refer to as spyware). I sold 51% interest in the company to some people I'll not name and it was shared with others, who shared it with others and the wildfire you all know now blazed out of control.

It was about this time that I moved toward mainstream where I designed and built custom software until 2007 when Persian Kitty and I decided to build a webmaster program that is unlike anything around (soon to be released btw) as well as currently launching the most kick ass, revenue sharing, self thread mod featured, ignore features that'll make you drool, webmaster board on the net today.

And tomorrow is going to be a pretty good day
