What a damn shame really..... For fifty years Cuba has been suffering. I'm not placing blame on either the US or Castro.... Cubans have such a wonderful culture; It would be wonderful to open up the country again to tourists. My mother recently visited Cuba and from the pictures it looked wonderful.Herschel Savage

what are you talking about dude. Cuba IS open to tourists. I myself have spent a lot of time there. It was the bets time of my life and am thinking of going back to spend even more. After 6 months in Cuba, my spirit and health improved like never before. I've never seen people who would be so happy and relaxed like Cubans. I have never been to a country that's this safe - with no gang activity or drug cartels in your backyard. Cuba has been a great country, and always welcoming of tourists. Plus you can enjoy your stay without obnoxious Americans. It's a heaven on Earth. If this ends, it's gonna be truly sad. I've been planning a trip with a long stay in Cuba. Hope I can make it before filthy Americans invade it.Comment

Could very well be true. I don't know why so many see Castro's stepping down/demise as some big indication of a shining new age or something, the next guy in power could be just as controlling or far worse, at least as far as the US is concerned.
