One thing I didn't understand, in the article it said he was suspended without pay, but the interviewer said he was suspended with pay.

What sort of person do you think goes out of their way to get a douchebag job like this? 4 out of 5 cops are nothing but power hungry bitches who up until getting their badge, had no power over anything. They are pitiful people who need a badge to make themselves feel powerful. There are very very few good cops, and for the most part they are the old boys who are teetering on retirement. The new way of cops are some pathetic fucks. I've never shed a tear over a dead cop...

You are clearly someone who hasn't spent much time around cops. A few of my very good friends are cops and I have spent time with and hang out with a bunch of other cops. To me they fall into four basic categories.

1. Good people who have a sense of duty and want to do a job that help the public/makes areas safer and better.

2. It is the family business. Your dad and grandpa were both cops so you were raised in that world and respect it so you become a cop. (this doesn't mean you can't be a bad cop, but most of them that I have met that fit this category are really good guys.

3. People wanting a stable, good paying job. Cops get paid pretty well and have very good benefits. It is also a stable job that is unaffected by economy and things like that. So some people become cops for the same reason other become electricians or mechanics or whatever, it is a good stable job.

4. jack asses that have low self esteem, crave power and find their cravings taken care of within this job. These are the people that fit all the sterotypical areas (picked on in school, little man syndrome, egomaniac etc)

In my experience only about 5% of them fit into the #4 area. There may be a few bad ones mixed in the other categories, but for the most part almost all of them that turn out to be bad cop end up being #4's To say that 4 out of 5 cops are power hungry bitches, in my experience, is just wrong. You sound like someone who had a bad experience and now assume every cop is that way or you are some kind of mope punkass who gets (got) caught doing things you shouldn't be and decide to blame the cops instead of taking responsibility for your actions.

So tell me, why do you hate them so?

My experience with cops and the law in general goes the other way around. The majority of the cops everywhere I've lived have fallen under one of two categories...

1. powerhungry douchebag.

2. out to prove something rookie.

I know a couple good cops who I've always got along with, a whole whopping 2 of them. These are guys who've been on the force for fucking decades though. Which compared to dozens of others who are complete fucking shitbags, doesn't stack the odds in favor of the good cops in the good:bad ratio. With the police force DESPERATE to find fresh blood, which they are having a hard time doing. They are taking on mass numbers of these incapable powermongers a tryhards.

The entire legal system is crooked as fuck.

My experience with cops and the law in general goes the other way around. The majority of the cops everywhere I've lived have fallen under one of two categories...

First,what are you doing that puts you in contact with dozens of cops? Are you friends with some cops and know these other guy's by default? I would think most normal people don't come into regular contact with more than a few different cops over the course of their lives.

Second, say - hypothetically - you have a friend or a family member who is murdered or assaulted during a burglary ( during which they were badly injured and/or raped). If alive they didn't get a good look at the guy(s) that did it or didn't recognize them if they did. The police come in and inspect the crime scene and find some fingerprints and DNA. They run those fingerprints through database and get a hit. Would you want then to go arrest this person, use that plus the DNA evidence to prosecute the person(s) that did this crime and either put them away for a very long time if not life or give them death (depending on the state) or would you just want these cops dead too?
