I would think that Rob's lawyer would have come up with the obscure the Mercedes logo fix if that would do the trick. Maybe because automobiles have body shapes that are instantly recognizable versus something like a soft drink can where if you cover up the Coke logo it could be any one of a hundred different brands.

The usual Mercedes body style is also copyright. You see it mentioned in some of their commercials.
