    just got this little baby for a capture/playback toy.. should be a useful little tool

          Those are great, how much did you pick it up for, I used to have an older one for mini DV, used it so much it burnt out

            yeah I have the GVD1000 as well .. it was an awesome tool .. this new one is killer .. it is a Sony GV-HD700 and it smokes the GVD 1000 and I just paid after all taxes shipping and such $1560.00 ...hell just for stripeing tapes and such they are cheaper than replacing heads and huge spooling hours ...

            as well cable connections .. to answer above ..

            1 x IEEE 1394 (FireWire/i.LINK) ( 4 pin FireWire ), 1 x USB, 1 x Composite video/audio input ( RCA phono x 3 ), 1 x S-Video input ( 4 pin mini-DIN ), 1 x Headphones ( Mini-phone stereo 3.5 mm ), 1 x Composite video/audio output, 1, 1 ( 19 pin HDMI Type A ), 1 x S-Video output
            No sig .. just me
