I love Mac's, the MacBook Air just doesn't tickle my nuts much....
All that you are paying for is the size of it, the MacBook has just as much, if not more power, in a slightly bigger condom and is half the price (of solid state). I LOVE the MacBook Pro, it is a powerhouse x10. I am getting the iMac 24", can't wait
